A seasonal fishery
One of the things that makes the North East so special is that we have a truly seasonal fishery. Migrations, species, and and regulations chaning as each season does. Target stripped bass from back water creeks to the Atlantic Ocean. Other target species include bluefish, Black Sea Bass, Fluke, and False Albacore.
Spring - Striper
Target striped bass on their Spring spawning migration from mid March to mid May. Target fish from the bay all the way to the backs of the creeks as the stripers maneuvaer a complex marshlands on a misson to repopulate these waters for years to.
Summer - Striper, Bluefish, sea bass, fluke, albies
From Mid May on the Striper migration slows and the bluefish arrive for the summer. This time of year also provides the oppertunity to harvest some delicous food items. Black Sea Bass and Fluke make for some tastey targets when their seasons are open. Summer's grand finale is the arrival the speedy False Albacore usually the end of August.
Fall - striper
